Make something that makes things

Make something that makes things

The industrial machine has so far given the impression of being a black box between designer and manufacturer. It represents an imaginary border separating production and design. „Make something that makes things“ attempts to dissolve precisely this boundary and to see the machine no longer merely as a standardized production unit, but rather as a platform for creative discoveries and experiments. In the production process, the dialogue between machine and user is at the forefront. First, the framework is created in analog form. Afterwards designed in various variations using digital tools. Finally the machine weaves the roving around the defined points. The resulting structure can be optimized in its characteristics. Man and machine work collectively.
